What a load of Crap!!

Me and a friend were having a discussion tonight about credit and banking. I think the way our credit system is ran in this country is just ridiculous! Maybe I am just missing something but I would think any logically thinking person could see this system is definitely not in our best interest.
o.k so we bought a home a couple of years back. We got a loan from a very large reputable bank for thousands of dollars. So then my husband goes to get a loan for something he wants (which is a whole other argument) which is hardly anything. And they say no. I am very confused about this. Lets see you will give a loan for thousands but ummmm not for a sum less then 10 thousand? Doesn't quite make sense. S0 when asked the reason why it was because of lack of credit. WHAT?? We had good enough credit for a house but not for a small loan. Good grief. As well this is after not ever having a late payment on a vehicle we have been paying for for three years, and having never had a a late payment on our home. Not to mention the only thing negative on their is an old phone bill.
So we ask well whats the answer. you know what we get. " well sir maybe you should try building your credit up with a credit card." Now just why in the hell should I have to buy crap to get crap. I really just don't think thats how things should work. Why should we be penalized because we are able to be patient and save our money for the things we want. I am sorry but If I want a couch I will save to get one. If I want to go shopping at Old Navy I will wait till I have enough money to go. I would think these bankers would feel really crappy going to bed at night knowing they are forcing some middle class families and lower class families to feel as if they have no other choice but than to get credit cards. It's like they want you to stay down.
Oh and we were also discussing Checks. I have to pay for my checks at my bank. Why on earth do I have to do this. I'm not sure exactly who thought of that. But my hats off to the person who figured out how to make people spend money to spend money. Their a damn genius!!
What ever happened to actually providing a service for someone. You can't get that anymore. If theres a good way to make a buck off of you someones going to find it and do it.
Just like when I see my phone bill and notice I am being charged a fee to call 911 but thats a whole other issue!! I mean Wasn't credit a bad thing to start off with. I seem to remember learning it was shameful to have to have credit. But now the times have changed. Out with the days of working hard and saving and in with the days of over extending yourself and burying yourself in a hole. Where the only solution is get another credit card and transfer your balance! What a shame. But never fear I am going to fight the power. I might even end up the only woman since 1979 to never have gotten a credit card and go in the Geniuses world book of records!!

Calgon Take me Away!!

If it just isn't one thing it's another!! Well Tuesday night Gaven decided to fall/dive off the couch. Not to sure which. So he came crying saying his head hurt and I kissed him and was like you will be fine go play. Well usually this would be the case,But I noticed like 30-40 minutes later he was still crying. Well that just seemed odd. And he was sweating and passing out. So I got worried and decided to take him in to the E.R.
So I get him in the car (in the pouring rain) go back out in to get Courtney and the keys come back out and he has vomited everywhere. SO I had to change him. Then we had to drive over to my friends real quick so I could drop Courtney and he just threw up over and over . So we get there and clean him up my friend goes with me so she can hold him and we can stop and open the door to let him throw up. Well anyhow to shorten this up a bit he got a cat scan which was very eerie. He was so small up in the air on that thing and he was totally wrapped up in a white sheet and he was just as pale as the sheet. I had to sit in the room and watch through a window it was like something out of a movie. They determined he did not have any blood on the brain or any large amounts of swelling. The diagnosed it as a concussion. And said for him to stay home from school for a couple of days and no football for a week.
I think he must be doing lots better because he was right back to normal fighting with his sister and running around. Just being his normal hyper self. So I am so happy my baby is o.k. It's definitely times like that that keep you on your toes thats for sure!

Oh and below you can see the flowers my hubby sent me! It was soooo sweet! They are just beautiful, and made me feel very special!

Weekend Review..

Well First before I get into my weekend. I am working on a new site. This might be of intrest to any of you Po'ers out there. Or those of you that post on Forums. It just has collections of Blinkies and emoticons. Also it has a place to list your blog and discuss blogging tools and sites. As well all you coupon lovers come on by I will be listing those to.
The link is

But like I said it's still under construction If you have something you would like to post feel free even if I haven't started on the topic yet. Or if you have any ideas feel free to post them under the chit chat thread.

O.k on to my weekend. Well the cold weather has started. It's a miricle we had to get out our coats and sweaters. I never know how to feel when the cold weather starts. It seems like when you live in Texas when it's hot you pray for the cold and when it's cold you pray for the hot. I really don't mind the cold if it's not rainy and dreary outside. So Friday I took Courtney to the doctor. She just has congestion and a cough. She was just feeling crummy. so was Gaven but he wasn't as bad. He was suppose to have a football game Saturday but I decided not to let him go. I didn't want him out there getting even worse running around in the damp cold weather. Some of our friends drove down from San Antonio. James who our son's middle name is after is leaving for Iraq in about a month. So please keep him in your prayers. I am nervouse about it and just want him to get over there and back safe and soundly. We just went out to eat and did some shopping.
Today was a lazy day. Although Ryan is hollering at me to get the garage clean. He bought some reloading equipment. So now he can actually make his own bullets. I don't exactly know what to think of my garage being turned into a ammunition assembly line. But well what choice do I have hee hee hee. Actually I am happy he has something to do.
Well better be going to bed. Monday has already been here for an hour and 30 min. So I better get to bed!

Howdy!

Well Last night Gaven had his first football game. He is so little compared to a lot of those kids. Thank goodness it's only flag football. They score ended up being tied. I was worried about him playing because he had just been sick, but he seemed to be o.k. Courtney is still sick :( I didn't let her go to her gymnastics. She didn't seem to mind too much though.
I did however have some mini excitement. A woman was discussing how she had went to her states listings for unclaimed property and saw her husband had some. So I was curious and decided to go check it out and see if there was some off chance I did. Well what do you know I did. It said my name and it said I have 166.oo unclaimed. I was like no way so I read the details and sure enough it was from a paycheck I never picked up back when I was 18 and working at a music store. Whooo hoooo!! So I just had to fill out the form on-line and now wait for my paperwork to come in and fill that out and send it back in. Kind of like winning a mini lottery.
Oh and if your wondering this is legitimate you can find the listings on your state website and mine even had the number to call to the offices in case you need help.

Today was just the same ole same ole. Courtney stayed on the couch most of the day resting and I cleaned house. Oh but Gaven went to church tonight with his little friend that lives on our street. Well it came time for him to be home and he wasn't so I was starting to worry a bit. When I got a phone call from the little girls grandma saying that Gaven had decided he wanted to join the children's choir and sing. So he stayed and did that. I was very proud of him hes such a little stinker.
o.k well it's way past my bed time going to go hit the hay now.

Today

Hmmm well lets see. Gaven went to bed and woke up with his ear hurting in the middle of the night so he was cranky and tired so I kept him home from school today and football practice. and Yup it happened Courtney is now sick . but it's not a horrible kind of sick just the normal runny nose cough. Lets just say they felt good enough to fight most the day. Hee Hee.
Gaven has his first football game tomorrow hopefully if he's not still coughing. I guess I don't have much else to say so hmmmm let me see what useless stuff I can put on here....

o.k for starters I have listened to this song like 20 times tonight in a row!!
http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/nelly/770886/album.jhtml Just press start listening or whatever it says at the top. Who would of thought the world of Country and Hip Hop would have ever collided, and Tim Mc Graw and Nellie would make a song. I just love it though!!

Heres a quote I'm still thinking about...

Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.-Sir Winston Churchill

And a stupid joke

Two little boys, Sammy and Tim, were sharing a room in the hospital. As they were getting to know each other a little bit, Sammy eventually asked Tim, "Hey Tim, what're you in for?" "I'm getting my tonsils out - I'm a little worried," said Tim. "Oh don't worry about it. I had my tonsils out and it was a blast! I got to eat all the ice cream and jello I wanted for two weeks!" "Oh yeah?" replied Tim. "That's not half-bad. Hey, Sammy, how about you? What're you here for?" "I'm getting a circumcision, whatever that is!" Sammy answered. "Oh my god, circumcision? I got one of those when I was a baby and I couldn't walk for two years!"

O.k well this has been another day lived, and I'm ready to hit the sack!
