What a load of Crap!!

Me and a friend were having a discussion tonight about credit and banking. I think the way our credit system is ran in this country is just ridiculous! Maybe I am just missing something but I would think any logically thinking person could see this system is definitely not in our best interest.
o.k so we bought a home a couple of years back. We got a loan from a very large reputable bank for thousands of dollars. So then my husband goes to get a loan for something he wants (which is a whole other argument) which is hardly anything. And they say no. I am very confused about this. Lets see you will give a loan for thousands but ummmm not for a sum less then 10 thousand? Doesn't quite make sense. S0 when asked the reason why it was because of lack of credit. WHAT?? We had good enough credit for a house but not for a small loan. Good grief. As well this is after not ever having a late payment on a vehicle we have been paying for for three years, and having never had a a late payment on our home. Not to mention the only thing negative on their is an old phone bill.
So we ask well whats the answer. you know what we get. " well sir maybe you should try building your credit up with a credit card." Now just why in the hell should I have to buy crap to get crap. I really just don't think thats how things should work. Why should we be penalized because we are able to be patient and save our money for the things we want. I am sorry but If I want a couch I will save to get one. If I want to go shopping at Old Navy I will wait till I have enough money to go. I would think these bankers would feel really crappy going to bed at night knowing they are forcing some middle class families and lower class families to feel as if they have no other choice but than to get credit cards. It's like they want you to stay down.
Oh and we were also discussing Checks. I have to pay for my checks at my bank. Why on earth do I have to do this. I'm not sure exactly who thought of that. But my hats off to the person who figured out how to make people spend money to spend money. Their a damn genius!!
What ever happened to actually providing a service for someone. You can't get that anymore. If theres a good way to make a buck off of you someones going to find it and do it.
Just like when I see my phone bill and notice I am being charged a fee to call 911 but thats a whole other issue!! I mean Wasn't credit a bad thing to start off with. I seem to remember learning it was shameful to have to have credit. But now the times have changed. Out with the days of working hard and saving and in with the days of over extending yourself and burying yourself in a hole. Where the only solution is get another credit card and transfer your balance! What a shame. But never fear I am going to fight the power. I might even end up the only woman since 1979 to never have gotten a credit card and go in the Geniuses world book of records!!

Calgon Take me Away!!

If it just isn't one thing it's another!! Well Tuesday night Gaven decided to fall/dive off the couch. Not to sure which. So he came crying saying his head hurt and I kissed him and was like you will be fine go play. Well usually this would be the case,But I noticed like 30-40 minutes later he was still crying. Well that just seemed odd. And he was sweating and passing out. So I got worried and decided to take him in to the E.R.
So I get him in the car (in the pouring rain) go back out in to get Courtney and the keys come back out and he has vomited everywhere. SO I had to change him. Then we had to drive over to my friends real quick so I could drop Courtney and he just threw up over and over . So we get there and clean him up my friend goes with me so she can hold him and we can stop and open the door to let him throw up. Well anyhow to shorten this up a bit he got a cat scan which was very eerie. He was so small up in the air on that thing and he was totally wrapped up in a white sheet and he was just as pale as the sheet. I had to sit in the room and watch through a window it was like something out of a movie. They determined he did not have any blood on the brain or any large amounts of swelling. The diagnosed it as a concussion. And said for him to stay home from school for a couple of days and no football for a week.
I think he must be doing lots better because he was right back to normal fighting with his sister and running around. Just being his normal hyper self. So I am so happy my baby is o.k. It's definitely times like that that keep you on your toes thats for sure!

Oh and below you can see the flowers my hubby sent me! It was soooo sweet! They are just beautiful, and made me feel very special!

Weekend Review..

Well First before I get into my weekend. I am working on a new site. This might be of intrest to any of you Po'ers out there. Or those of you that post on Forums. It just has collections of Blinkies and emoticons. Also it has a place to list your blog and discuss blogging tools and sites. As well all you coupon lovers come on by I will be listing those to.
The link is
http://xsorbit26.com/users5/jennifersfunshack/index.php
But like I said it's still under construction If you have something you would like to post feel free even if I haven't started on the topic yet. Or if you have any ideas feel free to post them under the chit chat thread.

O.k on to my weekend. Well the cold weather has started. It's a miricle we had to get out our coats and sweaters. I never know how to feel when the cold weather starts. It seems like when you live in Texas when it's hot you pray for the cold and when it's cold you pray for the hot. I really don't mind the cold if it's not rainy and dreary outside. So Friday I took Courtney to the doctor. She just has congestion and a cough. She was just feeling crummy. so was Gaven but he wasn't as bad. He was suppose to have a football game Saturday but I decided not to let him go. I didn't want him out there getting even worse running around in the damp cold weather. Some of our friends drove down from San Antonio. James who our son's middle name is after is leaving for Iraq in about a month. So please keep him in your prayers. I am nervouse about it and just want him to get over there and back safe and soundly. We just went out to eat and did some shopping.
Today was a lazy day. Although Ryan is hollering at me to get the garage clean. He bought some reloading equipment. So now he can actually make his own bullets. I don't exactly know what to think of my garage being turned into a ammunition assembly line. But well what choice do I have hee hee hee. Actually I am happy he has something to do.
Well better be going to bed. Monday has already been here for an hour and 30 min. So I better get to bed!

Howdy!

Well Last night Gaven had his first football game. He is so little compared to a lot of those kids. Thank goodness it's only flag football. They score ended up being tied. I was worried about him playing because he had just been sick, but he seemed to be o.k. Courtney is still sick :( I didn't let her go to her gymnastics. She didn't seem to mind too much though.
I did however have some mini excitement. A woman was discussing how she had went to her states listings for unclaimed property and saw her husband had some. So I was curious and decided to go check it out and see if there was some off chance I did. Well what do you know I did. It said my name and it said I have 166.oo unclaimed. I was like no way so I read the details and sure enough it was from a paycheck I never picked up back when I was 18 and working at a music store. Whooo hoooo!! So I just had to fill out the form on-line and now wait for my paperwork to come in and fill that out and send it back in. Kind of like winning a mini lottery.
Oh and if your wondering this is legitimate you can find the listings on your state website and mine even had the number to call to the offices in case you need help.

Today was just the same ole same ole. Courtney stayed on the couch most of the day resting and I cleaned house. Oh but Gaven went to church tonight with his little friend that lives on our street. Well it came time for him to be home and he wasn't so I was starting to worry a bit. When I got a phone call from the little girls grandma saying that Gaven had decided he wanted to join the children's choir and sing. So he stayed and did that. I was very proud of him hes such a little stinker.
o.k well it's way past my bed time going to go hit the hay now.

Today

Hmmm well lets see. Gaven went to bed and woke up with his ear hurting in the middle of the night so he was cranky and tired so I kept him home from school today and football practice. and Yup it happened Courtney is now sick . but it's not a horrible kind of sick just the normal runny nose cough. Lets just say they felt good enough to fight most the day. Hee Hee.
Gaven has his first football game tomorrow hopefully if he's not still coughing. I guess I don't have much else to say so hmmmm let me see what useless stuff I can put on here....

o.k for starters I have listened to this song like 20 times tonight in a row!!
http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/nelly/770886/album.jhtml Just press start listening or whatever it says at the top. Who would of thought the world of Country and Hip Hop would have ever collided, and Tim Mc Graw and Nellie would make a song. I just love it though!!

Heres a quote I'm still thinking about...

Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.-Sir Winston Churchill

And a stupid joke

Two little boys, Sammy and Tim, were sharing a room in the hospital. As they were getting to know each other a little bit, Sammy eventually asked Tim, "Hey Tim, what're you in for?" "I'm getting my tonsils out - I'm a little worried," said Tim. "Oh don't worry about it. I had my tonsils out and it was a blast! I got to eat all the ice cream and jello I wanted for two weeks!" "Oh yeah?" replied Tim. "That's not half-bad. Hey, Sammy, how about you? What're you here for?" "I'm getting a circumcision, whatever that is!" Sammy answered. "Oh my god, circumcision? I got one of those when I was a baby and I couldn't walk for two years!"

O.k well this has been another day lived, and I'm ready to hit the sack!

It's my party and I will Cry if I want to!!

*sigh* I just feel yuck today. It's that time of the week again, Sunday. Ryan leaves as usual in the morning.
Im just so tired of being alone. I know I have griped about this before on here but just bear with me. I just hate spending hour after hour after hour alone. I mean im not alone alone I have the kids and Im so happy for that. But you know what I mean. Thing is it's nice to have my own space and being able to do as I please in the house without him here. But It just gets old after awhile. I think thats why I get so tired by the end of the day is just mostly from having been alone so much. Although Courtney is really putting forth an excellent effort to run me ragged. That little stinker is something else!! I guess it's part of her charm. Gaven is sick he was crying in his sleep about his ear. He has a cough and runny nose. I almost wish Courtney would catch it now from him instead of getting it in a few days. So I can just get it over with at once. Could be worse though a lot of the kids at school are getting a stomace virus. Im keeping my fingers crossed though. Thats the last thing we need around here!
So I took a test today it determined which 100 acre character I would be.
Heres the results...

Take the 100 Acre Personality Quiz!

Hmmm sounded accurate enough. Especially the slow part.I seem to have no motivation for anything these days. My granny did come over this week. On Election day. It was so much fun. I just love spending the day with her. We went shopping and had lunch with Gaven at school. I really enjoyed it. Oh and another good thing that happened was I went to go to Angelas house to get some things to ship her. and I stopped at a garage sale and managed to get 7 disney movies with the cases for 21 dollars!! That rocks. One of them was Cinderella which Courtney was especially haapy with. O.k well it's late better turn in.

I have had it!!!!

I will not repeat will not..

1. Be made to feel bad that I exercised my right to vote. I am so sorry some may not care for who I voted for. But I voted for what I thought was best for me and my family and what I thought were the best choices for our Country.

2. Be made to feel bad for being a Christian! Since when did the word become such a bad dirty word! It's not and furthermore its my faith and I will ask that you might not have to agree but you respect it.

3. Be bullied and told that I am stupid and the world hates me because of what I stand for. You know I keep hearing these people say well If I was going to vote I would have voted for Kerry. Well you know what if you really cared and you really liked the man then you should have got off your butt and voted. THATS NOT MY PROBLEM!!!!

It is my right to vote and it is my right to vote for whatever reasons I want to. Even if it might not be popular reasons. I don't have to check my Christianity at the door to please other people and I will not do so either.
Everyone has beliefs and opinions otherwise they wouldn't vote. Just because mine might not match yours doesn't make me wrong.

I am not your whipping boy!!!

Heres looking to another 4 years!!

I got this letter that the Bush Administration sent out to all the supporters.
I got tears in my eyes reading it and am proud to say I supported My President. And am looking foward to another 4 years!!

Dear Jennifer,
We had a long night -- and we had a great night. The voters turned out in record numbers and delivered an historic victory. I want to thank our supporters across this country. At every stop I asked you to make the calls, put up the signs, talk to your neighbors, and get out the vote. And because you did your part, we are celebrating today. Thanks to you, we received more votes than any presidential ticket in history. America has spoken. And I am humbled by the trust and confidence of my fellow citizens. With that trust comes a duty: I will serve all Americans, so help me God. I am proud to lead such an amazing country -- and I am proud to lead it forward. Reaching our goals will require the broad support of Americans. A new term is a new opportunity to reach out to the whole nation. We have one country, one Constitution, and one future that binds us all. And when we come together and work together, there is no limit to the greatness of America.
A campaign has ended, and our cause is renewed. The United States of America goes forward with confidence and faith. I can see a new day coming, and I am eager for the work ahead. God bless you all, and God bless America.

And it was with his signature.

Halloween

It was a fun Halloween the kids were excited. Of coarse I was runnig all around at the last minute trying to find candy. I swear our St is the busiest in the whole town. Probably just because people have been coming to this neighborhood for halloween for years now. But our St is the main entrance so we really get hit hard. 9 bags of candy is what I ended up buying this year and it didn't even make a dent in the amount of kids that came through here.
So I just took the kids around the block and let them go to a few houses. It was so hot for them in their costumes i really didn't want to do much more than that. But I think they had the most fun just sitting at the house handing out candy with daddy. They got to see alot of their friends and all the diffrent costumes that way. I will say though it annnoys the hell out of me to have older teenagers with no costumes on come a nd trick or treat. I mean im assuming there is no age limit to this. but geeze at least attempt to put on something.
Well anyhow it was a fun night. I was so tired so I put the kids to bed and ate me a candy apple. It was gooooood!!

Getting ready to go trick or treating

Daddy handing out candy.

With my dad and my step mom.

Hmmmm isn't it funny...

How your kids never want to take a nap until you tell them to clean their rooms? Then all of a sudden it's I'm to tired mommy! After they were just running the worlds longest marathon around the living room and through the kitchen. Until I said "Go get that messy room of your's cleaned up" Then they start doing the Zombie walk with their legs spread out, arms flopping all over the place, walking slow stomping back and fourth. With this horrible whine just screeching from there little mouths.

Yes mom I know your reading this having a good laugh. So here is your apology, I am very sorry for all the fun times you had trying to make me clean up my room.

Below you will see what I mean. They would actually prefer to just fall asleep in the junk I threw on the bed than actually clean it up.

Caught sleeping on the job!

Went To Padre Island Thursday...

It was fun. Its always neat to go see Ryan's new places when he gets a new "home" for work. This was a condo on the beach pretty nice. I love going down there you wouldn't think the atmosphere would be that much different considering we have beaches here. I think the difference our beaches are on Bays versus the Gulf itself. I just love the smell of the air and the bright sunshine and all the condos lined up on the beaches , the different beach shops. I always feel like I'm on a mini vacation when we visit him.
So the first night we went I had forgotten to pack the kids swim suits so they ran down to the beach in their underwear. Hee Heee it was dark and no one was out. they got a kick out of it. Courtney was hollering "I'm nakey I'm nakey"
I took the kids shopping the next day and I hit Ross. Man I love that store!! They have the best deals. I could go nuts in there. I got some pretty good buys such as a cute pair of Tommy jeans for 19.99 you can't beat that. But decided to leave after the kids started griping and realized we had almost been there for an hour and a half. Whoops :) Then they weren't to happy when I discovered a new store. It's called Shoe Carnival. Oh my goodness why hasn't anyone told me about this store? I was in heaven!! They had wonderful prices on their shoes in there. they had awesome womans Nike's for like 29.00. Unfortunately I couldn't really shop there because the kids were grouchy. But anyhow it was a fun time I want to go back so I can get some Christmas shopping done. UGHHHH it's just around the corner
